Gift wraped bid

So after losing in Beaumont, we received a call. The team that won was backing out. We now have been offered a spot in the World Series.

Utah

The So Cal Rampage is heading to Park City, Utah in July for the Triple Crown Sports World Series of Softball. Melissa Garcia daughter of Adam, Anna and John is one of the members of the team. The team is in dire need of supporters to help us financially. We have until July to raise all the money needed to travel, house and feed the team on this week long event. We are seeking sponsors and general donations. Any and all donations will be greatly accepted. This is a great opportunity for our young ladies to achieve something many do not have the chance to. To be asked to attend and play in the World Series is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Our ladies have worked hard and continue to work hard for this event. Please help us get there; with the support of our community we know anything is possible. Additionally we will be holding many fundraiser events in the upcoming weeks to try and raise more money for this event. Please come out and support these fundraisers as you are available.

From the entire team we would like to thank everyone for your support.

Day 1
The So Cal Rampage started their journey for the World Series of Softball in Park City Utah, this weekend in Beaumont, CA. One of the last qualifying tourneys left before the July 7-12 Series was held this past weekend, and we had high hopes for our girls. Game one was exactly what we wanted. The girls came fired up and ready to destroy. We took on the So Cal Wicked fresh off a resent win against us in a friendly at our home field the week before. The Wicked came out and thought they would beat us again. But our girls had other plans. We came out swing bats and making great plays on defense. In the end we proved that no matter what happens in a friendly the Rampage can never be counted out. With a final score of 8-1 we took the first of 3 games of the day.
Game two came after a long break. We faced the team Caught Stealing. We had played them in a friendly a month ago in Victorville, CA. We played them twice that day and split the series. Fresh of a great win earlier against the Wicked our girl brought the same intensity as before. We played hard and kept the energy going and again showed everyone watching that we are here and ready to go to Utah. This game ended much like the last with a final score of 10-4 we took game two.
Game three came at the end of a long hot day. We faced like ourselves an undefeated team the IV Stealth. They are a team from El Centro, Ca. Man can they hit. For some unknown reason our girls did not come out with the energy they did with the first two games. The Stealth was swinging at anything we threw no matter what. Unfortunately our defense fell apart and our batting did not get the job done. We ended our day with a 11-0 lose to give us a 2-1 record and put us in 2nd place in our group for the bracket play on Sunday.
Day 2
After a good night’s sleep our girls arrived with the vision of Utah in their heads. Only two wins were needed. Our first game was pitting us against the Shockers. This was a team that was in a tougher group the day before and ended with a record of 1-2. From the first batter we found out that they came to play. They showed the same intensity and energy that we did just 24 hours before. After a couple of defensive mistakes we ended the first half of the first inning with them scoring 2 on us. We came up to bat and tried to get it started. Unfortunately we ended up leaving one batter on third when the 3rd out was called. The rest of the game was more of the same. We made mistakes; our bats just were not getting it done. They hit two home runs over the fence on us. The game ended with a horrible loss and a score of 9-2.
Our girls were crushed, mad, crying, and not knowing what to do. It looks like our dreams of going to Utah are over…..
Or are they?
We just found out we have one last chance. There is one final qualifying tourney on the last weekend of this month. It will be held in South OC, CA on 6/28 and 6/29. You better know the Rampage will be working our tails off to make sure that one ends differently than this one did. Here is a link to the tourney and the end of the month if anyone wants to attend. http://www.triplecrownsports.com/tourny_detail.asp?tournyid=3053
